The Grants-in-aid-of-research program (GIAR)
provides small grants to support research that would
not otherwise be possible for the applicant. During the 2016-2017 funding cycle, there were 40 applications to the GIAR program, and grants (totaling $15,000) were awarded to 11 graduate students and 1 postdoctoral researcher.
